Formations et mission d'enseignement en Europe
Start date: Jul 1, 2016, End date: Jun 30, 2018 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Likès school has continued to develop a network of exchanges and international partnerships since 1996. This is all the more important given its location, isolated from national and european decision-making centers. It is for this reason that the Likès encourages staff to participate in training workshops and to teach throughout Europe. Our request follows in this vein. The school does all it can to reinforce the skills of its teachers so as to offer our students a quality education that takes into account European and global challenges of tomorrow. This request particularly concerns workshops and professional experiences that improve language skills, and innovative methods and teaching tools such as new technologies. This is why we are asking for a grant to help finance the participation of two teachers in structured classes-- Mlle Goujon in Spain and Mme Simon in England-- as well as a job exchange in Physical Education between Mr Cornillot and Mr Perez-Canales, from our partner in Valence (Spain). The training requested by Mlle Goujon, a Spanish language teacher, has as its goal both to improve students' language skills and to make them aware of social and cultural changes taking place in Spain. This training program of 10 workshops on cultural manifestations in Spain would also help us further another goal. We plan to propose in the future an ambitious project concerned with cultural identity, using Spanish as the langage of communication in an educational partnership. The requested program would allow Mlle Goujon to make new contacts with this future project in mind.As for the linguistic training asked by Mrs SIMON, teacher of Economic and Social Sciences, it aims at opening an European section to the high school with a specificity in Economic and social sciences. The objective is to make acquire by the pupils the essential language and cultural skills for their pursuit of studies and for their insertion in the world of the work. Finally, the project of Mr CORNILLOT will aim at developing more the teaching of the Physical Education in foreign language, the exchange of teaching position of Physical Education would so offer to the pupils the opportunity to take courses of Physical Education in Spanish. This exchange will also allow to confront the methods and the tools of teachings of both teaching staffs of Physical Education represented by Mr Cornillot and Mr Perez-Canales.As for the expected impact, through these three projects we wish to strengthen the European dimension of the establishment in the service of the citizenship and to prepare the young people for the European and world challenges of tomorrow.
