Elie Faure Secondary School in the Gironde, France, is a public institute of education with 1,200 pupils. Pupils are taught from the 2nd (15 years old) through to the BTS (the Advanced Vocational Training Certificate). We carry out many different actions to increase our attractiveness. Opening our establishment to the international sphere represents a major part of our project. The establishment wishes to train its teachers in order to consolidate the recent opening of a European section in English. The two week Content and Language Integrated Learning "CLIL"training course will concern ONE teacher for this year. This teacher passed language certification in 2012 in order to teach her subject (management) in English. The course will enable her: - to improve her language skills - to increase her knowledge in the use of information and communication technologies and to discover new tools - to innovate in her teaching practices - to gain greater understanding of educational systems - to talk with other European teachers who attend the course in order to organise European projects The establishment expects: - our establishment and pupils to have greater openness towards international spheres - better results from our pupils - a long-term future for the euro-stmg section - greater attractiveness of the section
