Through this project entitled "Professional training without borders for raising efficiency of VET", Colegiul Agricol "Sandu Aldea" offers to students from the qualification of Veterinary Technician the opportunity to perform the modules of practice from their profile through transnational mobility and ensures to teachers of technological disciplines activities of Job shadowing in educational institutions from other European country.The project responds to the needs of school for increasing the quality of education and training through:- Personal, professional and social development of our students and the efficient transition from the school to the work environment for future graduates- Improving professional and personal skills for teachers of technological disciplines.The specific objectives of the project are:O1. Acquiring practical skills by the students from XIth and XIIth grades having Veterinary Technician qualification through transnational mobilityO2. Improving teachers training of technological disciplines through Job shadowing activities in educational institutions from another countryO3. School internationalization.The target group consists in 48 students from XIth and XIIth grades having the qualification of Veterinary Technician and 9 teachers of technological disciplines.The activities will be of two types and will take the form of transnational mobility sequenced in five flows, along of two school years (2016-2018):A1. Internships of practice, lasting 19 days (90 hours) for students, developed in three flows x 16 students who will be joined by 2 teachers / each flowA2. Activities of Job shadowing for the 9 teachers, conducted in two flows, each lasting 5 days (40 hours)Project partner is the Escola Profissional do Montijo - Associação para a Formação Profissional e Desenvolvimento de Montijo (EPM-AFPDM), a nonprofit organization in Montijo, a town in the adjacent area of Lisbon, capital of Portugal.The collaboration with this organization began with the project RO01-2014-1-KA102-000322 within which our school sent 23 students to Montijo, and continued with the project RO01-2015-1-KA102-014841, coordinated by us and in which the AFPDM is one of the host partners for the 120 mobilities of students.Students will perform the practice internships in livestock farms (XIth grade) and in units of slaughtering animals and units for processing animal products (XIIth grade), including specified activities in "Training standards (SPP) and curriculum", approved by OMEdC no. 1847 / 29.08.2007, Annex. No. 5, for the professional qualification of Veterinary Technician.Students’ activity will follow two directions:1) Preparation for the development of practical skills and abilities according to curriculum, namely:- for XIth grade, the units of competence 9th - Safety and health at work and respectively and 12th - The modern biotechnologies in animal husbandry- for XIIth grade, the unit of competence 21 th - The veterinary control of food.2) Cultural and linguistic preparation, during the leisure time and for the two weekends, as part of the activity.Teachers' training will be done through an internship observation (Job shadowing) at the host partner and at other educational institutions in the area of Montijo.Expected impact on target groups and other interested groups will be:- Improving practical skills to students- Acquisitions of best practices from teachers- Changes in the attitude and behavior of participants after the new acquisitions- The added value for the participants in mobility (new ideas, new practices, new dynamics of collaboration).The most important results are:1. Work-based learning for the students from the qualification of Veterinary Technician through internships of practice for 19 days (90 hours) abroad for:- Module VI - "Modern Livestock Biotechnology" (XIth grade)- Module VI - "Health control" (XIIth grade)2. Acquisition of professional skills and new teaching methods by the teachers of technological disciplinesIn terms of sustainability and long-term benefits, the project will ensure transparency and certification of learning outcomes acquired during the mobility.Project results will remain available and will be known and used by other students and teachers due to the project' blog and to the e-learning platform that will be built.Project sustainability will be ensured through:- Dissemination of results- Valuing learning support materials created during the project implementation- Achieving the goal of raising employability school graduates- Using the experience gained by participating teachers in transnational mobility to realize new Erasmus+ projects for mobility.
