Formación del profesorado CE Ave María San Cristóbal
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The CE AVE MARIA SAN CRISTOBAL is promoting teacher education in foreign languages in the second cycle of nursery, primary and secondary education with the aim of implementing bilingualism in English in 2017 - 2018 for the second cycle of Nursery and Primary and in the 2018-2019 for Secundary. According to the Andalusian Order of June 28, 2011 published in BOJA 135 of July 12, 2011, the center wants to provide, to the involved students, the acquisition of language skills in relation to the listening, speaking, reading and writting skills through integrated content in the areas of natural and social sciences. As the project will consolidate in the center, new areas will be incorporated to bilingualism. To accomplish this task, the center is co-funded language training of all teachers involved in the project. Analyzing the progression thereof, and because of the need that teachers must achieve a minimum level of B2 on the Common European Framework for Languages, it has scheduled what areas may initially be incorporated and what areas can go up itself in successive courses. However, to reach a point of excellence, it was considered that these teachers should supplement their training in an English speaking country. The project therefore will help to improve the skills of teachers, the teaching methods used, the School European dimension and, and finally the students language skills. The plans have been to prepare intensive summer English courses. It was decided to take courses during the summer to avoid interference with the normal running of the center during the course. Contact has been made with a center in UK, acting as a host partner, which will provide with language courses as well as finding accommodation and provide with logistical support. The training received by participants will help the number of teachers with levels B2 and C1 in English to increase. This will clearly and unequivocally impact on the quality of training provided by the KA101 project participants to students at the school .
