The experience of the Agrupamento de Escolas D. Lourenço Vicente and some of its teachers participation in Comenius and ERASMUS+ projects brought positive results for the dynamics and quality of work done , thanks to partnerships with other European schools within projects that the school previously participated in . Meeting other educational realities allowed not only learning through the exchange of knowledge and experiences with professionals from other countries , but also to broaden horizons and establish networks to a more solid and sustainable collaboration. Simultaneously, the organization is in a self-assessment and external evaluation cycle , which indicates the necessity of improvement plans , which are intended to be a reference to the improvement of the organizational performance . Built from the experience and reflection of the professionals who work here , it is expected that improvement plans gather, among others , proposals that are substantiated with examples of experiences and good practices that are learned and gained from this project for the mobility training . Through benchmarking , we'll assess the organization's performance in an objective way , comparing it with other similar European organizations , and identify gaps or problems that the organization faces and areas for improvement . We seek to improve the organization through external referencing, because we believe that the participants contact with other realities will able them to provide input to the reflection about the necessary changes for the future . Through different training experiences , it is intended that the professionals involved to acquire specific knowledge and skills which can be transferred into innovative practices in their workplace , with the necessary changes to the context of the organization . Participation in such events will enhance the acquisition of best practices and reflection on the work done so far . We hope that this reflection will be shown in the work that is being developed as part of the improvement plan of our organization . We also believe that contact with other school systems have motivational effects on the staff of the organization and therefore in the students as well. This project includes mobility of teachers (in different subjects) , including top leaders ( headmaster ) and intermediate ( Department Curriculum Coordinators , Directors of Class ) . Efforts were made to answer to the training needs of the organization through training courses of short duration , participation in seminars / congresses and a strong focus on direct contact for observation of other professionals in the workplace ( job shadowing ) . With the completion of this project and of the mobilities planned , it is expected that participants will develop the skills focused in the mobility . As this is a group of schools that includes preschool to 9th grade of the third cycle of basic education teaching , participants will also come from different curriculum areas ( teaching ) and so it is expected to have a transversal impact , thus reflected in the improvement of the quality of organizational performance , and the educational achievement of students in particular.
