Project context:The Foundation for Society in the field of adult education has been active since 2009. However, teachers' professional development for non-profit nature of the organization has been limited.Daily activities with the less advantaged groups of society -people with chronic illnesses, long-term unemployed and migrants- calls for additional knowledge and skills. So the teachers in Foundation for Society, working with these target group’s needs:• Specialized motivation, engagement, teaching methods and techniques for people with chronicle illnesses, non-citizens, immigrants, refugees and long-term unemployed,• New training programs and services in ICT,• Foreign languages teaching methods and innovative, target group tailored learning content,• Establishing partnerships with similar organizations in Europe and local government.Goals and objectivesLearning mobility objective for adult educators of the Foundation for Society is to acquire professional development opportunities abroad, improving and diversifying methodological knowledge and skills as well as providing a broader understanding of the education systems in Europe.Specifically mobility goals:1) Meet, learn and adopt innovative training design, teaching and motivating methods of working with the Foundation’s target groups in society, while sharing their experiences with the Foundation’s accomplishments,2) Learn new skills and training programs for ICT training, as well as in the field of foreign language teaching, improving teaching methods and quality in these subjects, as well as for motivation in participation in educational activities.3) Get to know and as far as possible to take over the successful experience of cooperation with local authorities and other organizations of adult education organizations,4) Learn about the Spanish province of Tarragona adult education systems, and new cooperation initiatives.The number of participants and profile:The experience, skills and knowledge necessary to improve for the following trainers and staff :1) 2 foreign language teachers who daily work with non-citizens and immigrants,2) 2 ICT trainers who deliver training for people with disabilities,3) 2 social workers who provide training on motivation and commitment to training and education activities,4) 1 staff member who provides training and education programs development and management for the organization.Description of activities:1) Project management and coordination,2) Preparation mobilities: participant information, practical issues, contracts with participants,3) Mobility, where 6 teachers in adult education and one employee (a total of 7 people), will carry out the job-shadowing of Open Europe adult education organization in the province of Tarragona, Spain.4) Evaluation: participant’s reports, reporting on the progress of work, the management meeting and good practice and experience transfer to Latvia.5) Project publicity and dissemination activities.Methodology:The project includes four main activities: preparation of mobility, mobility, evaluation and publicity/ dissemination of results.Results:Mobility participants have gained new experiences, knowledge and skills according to their needs at the individual level as well as information and understanding of adult learning in another country and will be able to transfer it to the Foundation’s public training and educational activities in the organization, development and implementation in the future.Project participants benefits:• The Foundation for Society and teachers will be able to carry out their training program improvements based on the experience gained in Tarragona, Spain,• will gain an impression and confidence in their own learning agenda, the realization and the theoretical and methodological adequacy of practice,• improved networking and cooperation skills,• gained the information, skills targeting motivation, involvement in education,• enhanced their English and also Spanish language skills• gained new contacts and cooperation initiatives.Foundation for Society as an organization operating in the field of adult education for different marginalized groups in society will gain:• methods, approaches and knowledge of how to more effectively engage the target group educational activities,• customized training services in the field of ICT, as well as foreign language learning and motivation program, implemented by social workers. Foundation’s for Society employee who will participate in the mobility, will learn and afterwards use effective methods in the implementation of adult education programs in organization,• Foundation for Society will implement a new curriculum content,• New opportunities for cooperation and initiatives with other similar organizations in Europe.Target group - adults with special needs ( patients with long-term illness), as well as refugees, migrants and non-citizens as well as the unemployed.
