Follow history-Medieval mysteries

The "Follow-Medieval history mysteries" is a youth exchange project with the Polish, Romania and Bulgarian addressed to 32 people (8 from four country), aged 17-28 years from Gniew, Sofia, Bucharest and Ploiesti The purpose of this project is to disseminate knowledge about the history of medieval Europe. Participants communicate to each other as from their point of view looks the Middle Ages in their native historiography. During the course, participants will learn practical traditions of this period, from traditional crafts to the relationships with particular emphasis on knight's art of love. Exchange of experience, perception of history and practical classes will allow for closer relations between the participants not only in the private sector, but also culturally. During the 10 days exchange will be held in the medieval classes and workshops that will be conducted by members of the mercenary Banner Apis (Chorągiew Zaciężna Apis) under the leadership of Grand Master Jacenty of Ordów that takes participants exchange in the Middle Ages (as dress, behavior, language, and activities characteristic of the era). During the workshop, we would like to raise issues related to intercultural education, history and culture of the Middle Ages. Acquired during the exchange of knowledge, we would like to share with others, and therefore the last days of our meeting we dedicate to the development of film in which participants move to the Middle Ages and recreate life from that period - will learn in August pottery, armourer's profession, medieval dances, horse riding, knights fighting, how to win the heart of a lady and be her knight and will also have the opportunity to live in the castle with the ghost. The workshop will be conducted on the basis of informal methods of education, i.e. language animation, games that allows to build trust and cooperation in the group; dances, integration games so-called, energizers, working in international groups, discussion, individual reflection over the course of the day; music classes and practical sewing, clay modeling, horseback riding and fighting knights. Exchange program conducive to stimulating reflection on the differences in the values , traditions , worldview , and work in multinational groups contributes to the prevention of racism and xenophobia, because most are afraid of the unknown and alien.
