Folk it up
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: Dec 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Folk it up” (project number: 2015-1-PL01-KA105-014260) is an international youth exchange, co-financed by European Commission in frame of Erasmus+ Programme. The project is being coordinated by European Meeting Centre – Nowy Staw Foundation and it was held between 5th– 15th October 2015 in Nasutów near Lublin. The goal of the Project was getting to know each other, propagate the idea of dialog and international cooperation, integration and shaping the attitude of openness and tolerance. Main, but not the only used tool to achieve this goal, was dance – which is example of non-verbal communication. The project gathered representatives from partner organizations from countries such as: Poland, Bulgaria, Turkey, Spain, Armenia, Belarus, Romania and Lithuania. Each representation was the host throughout their day: they were responsible for the workshops and for the cultural evening. During the exchange, participants organized a flashmob at the center of Lublin, during which (dressed in T-shirts with the project logo) were dancing different dances. The aim of the event was to draw the attention of passers-by on the project and its themes. Cooperative work was crowned with the performance on 14th October 2015 in the ACK UMCS „Chatka Żaka” in Lublin, where the residents of Lublin were invited. It was a great opportunity for the citizens of Lublin to know the cultures of other nations, pay attention to how important is to take care about their own and it was as well interesting way to spend a free evening.
