"Folk and Myth Tales in Europe" training course was held in Torre del Greco from the 2nd to the 10th of September 2015. It involved 21 participants from Italy, Spain, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey and Estonia. They worked together on the rediscovery of popular culture as an educational tool. Objectives of the project were: to give participants support in the developping new skills and abilities: to create a network for future collaboration on issues that stimulate the understanding of cultural, social and linguistic diversity. The course involved participants, aged 20 years and older, interested in the field of intercultural education, in popular culture and literature. All activities were carried out according to the non-formal education methodology thanks to the guidance of an international trainer. After sharing the stories of the different countries, the participants received the basics of creative writing and storytelling from the staff of ALT! expert in the field. A professional cartoonist gave them the basics for illustration. The result is a booklet containing four new stories, a detailed methodological part, excellent references and some illustrations.
