Both the Italian and the German partner in the project are convinced that it is vital for the success of future European cooperation between schools to get the whole school community involved in the process. In this project the German and Italian partner try to achieve a "domino effect towards Europe" by starting from the teachers. Objectives: - to enhance awareness of the EUROPEAN DIMENSION of education - to acquire/improve expertise in CLIL methodology and bilingual teaching - to acquire/improve expertise in INNOVATIVE, student-centered more INCLUSIVE teaching METHODS - to enhance knowledge of other cultures and UE school systems - to enhance CULTURAL INTERACTION and start contacts for organising and participating in strategic partnerships/job-shadowing/ teaching abroad projects. Planned activities: attending teacher training courses in Great Britain, topics: innovative methods in the English classroom with a focus on CLIL classes; job shadowing at Italian and German school; evaluation of chances and problems of CLIL classes; exchange and development of "best practice“lesson plans All these activities aim at - enhancing LANGUAGE SKILLS - improving students' abilities to start their studies at European universities - opening up new perspectives to students on the European labour market. In the long run, all these activities aim at increasing participants’ motivation for taking part in the process of building a united Europe.
