Our school, the NMS Schwertberg, intends to enlarge and structure CLIL more efficiently. Acquisition of additional competence and learning up-to-date methodology as well as support in the field of learner training techniques should have a positive impact on the quality of teaching at the NMSSchwertberg. An other aim is widening the personal and professional horizon through contacts with colleagues from other European countries.. A further key aspect is preperation, continual improvement /evaluating of teaching materials, not to forget the question of assessment in the CLIL classroom. As a participant with an experience for already many years I feel that self motivation is an essential aspect not only for me but also for my students. Conveying a European feeling to the students is of utmost importance precisely in times like these. The implementation of CLIL seems to be a substantial possibility to achieve this. CLIL stills the students' fears of using the foreign language . But the use of foreign languages is the precondition for multicultural communication , which should encourage the students' future mobility in modern Europe. As the course is being held in a bilingual country, it offers the opportunity of gathering a variety of experience in the linguistic and cultural fields, which can only be authentic in an English speaking country. Thus the lessons can be organized more lively and more attractively . It should be possible to teach the foreign language more realistically and authenticallly. To sum up it can be said that by attending the course and by passing on the acquired knowledge to my collegues and students it should be possible to to offer the students a better access to modern Europe. In this way the students' chances for the future should be improved substantially. A firm goal is that the teacher will enjoy teaching more and be able to pass on this feeling to his/her students.
