Heraeus Holding GmbH trains about 280 apprentices in the german dual training system in different jobs (Industrial clerks, Lab assistant, Mechanic, Mechatronic, Glasblower) Gaining intercultural competence and language skills is very important for an international company. We take part at the Leonardo da Vinci project since 2004.Our program is very special and different for each job title, that means we discuss every project with our partner in the different companies. It is very important that the apprentices gain new experiences. For the validation we visited each partner and trained them with our appraisal program.The program is organized by the contact person in Germany in collaboration with the responsible person in the other subsidiaries.. Our apprentices learn more about intercultural competence and improve their language skills. They are able speaking with customers and are not afraid of using a foreign language. Furthermore we planned an exchange for the trainer of the apprentices to gain new experiences and practice mobility.
