We, Kırşehir Ahi Evran Aviation (Aeronautical) Club is an Association that prompts the full participation of young people who loves sports activities and model aircraft designing in our town Kırşehir, Turkey. We have a very diverse and active member base and it is entirely run by young people graduated from Kırşehir Fen Lisesi. With the frame of Erasmus+ youth exchange programme, we want to teach our traditional "Strategic- intelligence" board game, MANGALA, which has been played over 2000 years by the Turkish tirbes. Our main idea is to design, decorate, paint our own "Mangala board", and teach the rules of the game to the youngs from Poland, Italy, Macedonia, Spain and Portugal as well as Turkey. We also want to teach the history of the Mangala and try to prove that it is a game from the Turkish people. We want to implement our project with 5 teenagers and 1 leader from each country with the total number 38 youngs plus 2 trainers. Our target group is 16-20 years old selected by the partner organisations. We will use informal learning methods and workshops as well as cultural trips. We will design our games and use our creativity. All the products will be made by their hands and at the end of the workshops we will make exercises to practice the rules of Mangala. We want to reach those aims below: group working, sport activities -Teaching how to design your own board game, -Teaching the history and rules of Mangala -Using creativity, -Strategical thinking, -Breaking ices and prejudices, -Cultural interaction, - Team work , -Sharing experiences etc. At the end of the project, all the participants will go their countries with their own Mangala and teach their friends our traditional Turkish Game. They will think logically and strategically in their real lives and they will become a creative and innovative people in the future.
