Fly Europe 4
Start date: Sep 1, 2016, End date: Aug 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

During the Fly Europe 4 project we will host 3 long-term volunteers, 2 in Eskola, in a small village´s kindergarden and school and one in Raudaskylä at the Christian Institute as a free-time leader and teaching assistant. Both places offer a diverse working environment and activities and a very wide experience of Finnish rural life, education and integration methods of immigrants. As Eskola is a very active village, operating it´s own social business, it offers great environment for adventourous young people who would like to see different ways of life and succes in such an exotic place as rural Finland. Raudaskylä offers a diverse study-environment for young people and as the Finnish education system is one of the bests in Europe it can help a young person to realize his values and abilities to manage his own life. There are refugees under 18 studying Finnish culture and language at the institute, which gives the volunteer the possibility to work with a group of youngsters with a challenging background. Our main goal is to motivate young people to mobility and to be brave to make contact with different cultures, be innovative and find the possibilities of rural life.
