Flash over is a youth mobility project which involves two European youth associations: Ciranda, from Italy, and Inspiration by Motion from Latvia. Our project is aimed to young people from 16 to 30 years old, students, universitary students, workers or unemployeed, 8 young and one Leader from each country. The purpose of “Flash over” is to involve youth in the process of active citizenship and to strenghthen their awarness in being not only citizens from their own country but expecially nowdays, European citizens and that implies all kind of duties, rights and possibilities that it implies. The project expected one exchange which lasts for 8 days and it will be settled in Latvia. During this exchange will be faced political, sociocultural and economical themes; each association will realize workshops about this topics by focusing on european and national perspective and basically by asking ourselves: How did Europe change your country? What do you think about the possibilities offered by EU? What are your expectations and what do you think can change, in your life, throughtout the European Citizenship? The dialogue which will estabilished on the base of those answers will be also an occasion to learn more about own country and the country of guest associations, in order to improve experience and cultural knonwledge. Moreover, the project will apply methods provided by EU programme which is a non formal method of learning: after first presentation, done by hosting association, each partner will show their workshop concerned to the topics and will begin a confrontation among the participants. This confrontation will be an occasion to all the people involved to share their opinion and their considerations whitout any filter. Other activities provided by this project are strategic games, simulation to develope trasversal competences. During the six days of activities will be also a visit in the city of the hosting association in order to know better and concretely the culture, thematic movie debates, and theatre.The attended results are three. The first is to improve European and personal knowledge to the youth who partecipate, travel and knowledge are always an occasion to increase own autonomy and mental openess. Moreover, the contacts which will be estabilshed among participants could be, in a future, a start up for new collaborations. The second attended result is concerned to associations: through this project they can know each other better and create a contact net which will bring future project with new young people; we hope that “Flash over” doesn’t finish this year but it will be carried on for future years At least, is expected that also in each country, thanks to the work done and thanks to the witness of participants, can be estabilished a ripple effect that will bring to a better comprehension of the possibilities offered and to a general growth of awarness given by Europe and by all the countries that are part of it.
