The aim of the project is to identify the most suitable locations for the farming of locallyimportant species. In addition, attention is paid to public framework conditions governing marinefish farming in Murmansk, e.g. with a summary of the instrumental elements of public planningand of the license procedures in force in Norway and Russia, together with proposals for possiblechanges. The summary suggests issues that could be used for defining stable, predictableframework conditions for administering the fish farming business. This is of importance to futurefish farmers and those investing in the fish farming business.
