Finnish Estonian project for increasing the know-how of ancient art, and intercultural contacts in the context of history and ancient art

The aim is to make the public interested in the roots of our culture. Ancient art will be made available to the general public and tools will be offered to understand and preserve the prehistoric cultural heritage in Finland and Estonia. The project aims at developing research and documentation methods of ancient art, innovatively developing and experimenting the teaching methods of cultural heritage, and creating an ancient art curriculum where the contents are viewed as a part of art education. Target areas: Hämeenlinna, Porvoo and Lahti in Finland, Tartu and Tallinn in Estonia (+partner contacts to Ääninen in Russian Karelia and Latvia and Lithuania)
