Finland meets Croatia
Start date: Jul 1, 2011,

Finland meets Croatia takes place in Croatia (Moravice) in August 2011. 40 participants come from Croatia and Finland and they are aged 15-24. Theme of our project is learning about our cultures, Croatian and Finnish. Main goal is to promote that we are different but in the same time very similar with our European connections. We would create a youth exchange were we would discover European citizenship through different workshops. These workshops would give us clues and information about being a young European, and chance to learn about our main differences and similarities . We would use photographing, graffiti, filming, discussions, simulations, media and interviews to discover about our culutures and in a one way about European citizenship. At the end we would create a movie based on our weeks moments and discoveries and use it to give information for our peers about being young Europeans. Our goal is to go deeply into the knowledge, values, priorities and shared thoughts. We want to develop youngsters active participation not only in their own home, area, city or country but also in the European level. This project will for a first time give a chance for our youngsters to meet other, different culture. We hope that this project will give us opportunity to make some new projects together in future.
