FAVORISER L'ÉDUCATION INTERCULTURELLE
Start date: Aug 1, 2014, End date: Nov 1, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

By encouraging youth meetings, developing international youth exchanges, the FDMJC, coordinating and hostingorganization reinforces intercultural dimensions allowing young people from different European countries to meet and build projects with others, decentering their own representations. For several years, international partnerships have been established within the framework of various projects related to youth and promoting intercultural encounters. Together, these youth were able to transcend their cultural representations, they were able to exchange, understand and project themselves. To host an EVS volunteer, it’s preparing children and youngsters from the local community to welcome a European citizen or a young from a neighbour country. He will talk about his country, will exchange, but it will also prepare children and youngsters to welcome the other, to speak with him about his daily life and his way to understand his society in which he is living. In this learning environment of popular education, the main activity of the volunteer will be part mainly around issues of European and international citizenship and youth involvment.
