Favoriser l'accrochage scolaire
Start date: Oct 10, 2016, End date: Oct 9, 2018 PROJECT  FINISHED

The purpose of our project is to find strategies to avoid that young people "drop out" from the education and training system. To do this, we need to know what the reasons are. It is at this level that the project starts. Indeed, we have many intervention approaches and compensation measures that take when young people are about to leave or have left the school, but we have no real strategies that work upstream. To better understand the path of the young and to consider simultaneously the influences of school, family and individual, it becomes necessary to consider the school as a 'complex unity ", an institution with a specific operating profile where each feature interacts with others. Thus, the school can be considered as mediator of influences, both internal and external to its own structure to it (eg family). The work of Janosz and colleagues (1998, 2004) relating to the socio-educational environment are an interesting for the project. Therefore it is necessary to improve the understanding of the early school leaving process, to better understand what takes place at the level of the socio-educational environment, to highlight preventive intervention strategies that strengthen the remaining in education and training. So, we can hypothesize that pupils would be sensitive to school climate and the perception that they develop the latter would be able to firstly, to influence both their academic behaviour and their adaptation, integration to their environment and on the other, their school performance. It is thus a question of the process to stay in school which we refer through these aspects. Regarding teachers, the assumption would be that the way they perceive their work environment would like for students, influence their activities. The project tries to capture this complexity to achieve the development of intervention strategies for strengthening school remaining of young people.Concretely the project:1. to understand the socio-educational environment the partnership partnership will: - develop, a questionnaire which will capture the perception of the school climate, - put this questionnaire on-line for the pupils, the parents, the teachers and with the management - analyse the the collected data and produce a report and produce of a report;2. develop possible interventions that can strengthen the staying in the school.
