Agriculture is among the fastest growing industries in the region of the municipality of Popovo. For many families in the region it is a way of life and a tool for existence. There are excellent conditions for development - fertile farmland, flat terrain, stable traditions in agricultural production. Enhanced demand for quality and ecologically clean agricultural production. Support is needed for the family business, to encourage young farmers. Organic farming is sustainable not only when organic methods are applied in growing the products, but also the harmful effects on the environment are reduced. Professional School of Agriculture "N. Pushkarov" initiated the project "Family organic farming - a tool for smart and inclusive growth and sustainable local development" in order to help improving the quality of life of the population in the municipalities Popovo and Opaka.The main goal of the project is to acquire practical knowledge and skills in the sphere of agriculture as a family business and the improvement of professional skills by drawing on good practices and innovative methods in a real environment.To create own business, young people must have the skills and qualifications, including all stages of development of organic family business - marketing, management, entrepreneurial skills, field work and animal breeding, production of environmentally friendly products, agritourism. Achieving the goals of the project will facilitate participants in their transition to the labor market, making them competitive, motivated and aware of the advantages of the chosen profession.Specific goals of the project:For beneficiaries: familiarization with the specifics of family organic farming; support their implementation as producers and traders of agricultural products; motivation for organizing own agribusiness; personal growth - a new way of thinking, imposing team working, stimulating dialogue and tolerance in communication.For the sending organization: improving the quality of vocational training by diversificating the teaching practice; constructing a vision for sustainable development of organic farming in the municipality of Popovo in order to continuous adult education, increased competitiveness of the educational market.For the receiving organization: familiarizing with the novelties in the standards of vocational education in Bulgaria; developing a tailored program for future beneficiaries, familiarity with RDP (2014-2020) and the National Strategy for Sustainable Development of Agriculture in Bulgaria in the period 2014 - 2020 year.Expected results: 20 students will gain knowledge and skills in the family agribusiness according to European standards as a prerequisite for the realization of the labor market; developing youth mobility; enhancing the attractiveness of vocational education through internationally recognized certificates; spreading the main conclusions from the European experience and lifelong learning; through transparency and awareness of mobility the demand for qualified staff in the European labor market will be increased.Validation of practice will ensure the issuing of Europass mobility, Certificate of Attendence for each user.Conducting educational mobility in organic farm "Patrice" will allow in an informal environment the participants to acquaint with the European experience in family agribusiness, to acquire new knowledge and skills and gain motivation to start, management and sustainable development of their own business. In implementation of the Europe 2020 Strategy, the National Strategy for Lifelong Learning and Strategy PGSS pupils should form many professional and personal characteristics. Vocational training aims to create motivation for starting a business in the agricultural sector. Self-employment, building skills to support sustainable development and a healthy lifestyle are key elements for achieving a sustainable and inclusive growth and sustainable local development.The project is aimed at all students studying in PGSS "N. Pushkarov." Project activities cover three weeks in April 2017. They include theoretical and practical training. Theoretical classes will provide themes for the creation and development of family farming as business ethics and the role of small farmers as a key to the future of food in the world. The practical part envisages conducting workshops in the field of organic farming and animal husbandry, production and marketing of organic products. In conducting mobility observations and discussions will be conducted, cases will be decided, ideas will be generated, various interactive methods will be implemented: "World Café", "Training workshops", "Reality folder", "Sheets on the wall," Practice "Learning by doing".
