CONTEXTFAIR PLAY II is a Youth Exchange that aims to bring together 28 young people with Intellectual Disabilities accompanied by 16 Group Leaders from 7 European countries (Spain, Poland, France, Italy, Portugal, Greece and Cyprus) from 2 to 10 of September 2016 in Benicássim (Castellón). Through FAIR PLAY II we intend:a. to promote the free and active participation, integration and normalization of people with different skills in an intercultural environment;b. through the exercise of Sport and playing Traditional Games that will serve to improve and encourage the people with Intellectual Disabilities;c. increasing their self-worth, a fundamental value for anyone to be able to give the best of themselves.OBJECTIVESThe activities will allow research, experiment and learn new ways of inspiration, creation and encouragement. For the proper development of activities and to fulfill its aims, we will pursue the following objectives:+ Encourage the active participation of young people with Intellectual Disabilities, creativity and mobility skills of young people through body expression activities, arts and crafts+ Encourage self-confidence and autonomy thanks to the integration and active participation in an intercultural project and as well encourage the Innovation and Autonomy+ To promote the dialogue and exchange between the different cultural practices of the participating countries by encouraging the positive awareness towards other cultures and preventing prejudice, racism and attitudes that lead to rejection and exclusion through exchange, knowledge and coexistence activities+ Encouraging the Mobility of groups of young people with fewer opportunities in the ERASMUS+ PROGRAM+ Facilitate a noble sport practicing, more beneficial+ Use recreational sports as a tool of rehabilitation for their disability, normalizing and inclusive in the process of social relationship, motivating and enhancing self-esteem and personal autonomy.METHODOLOGYIn both the design and the implementation of the project, the methodology is eminently active and participatory always seeking that young people are the leaders of the whole process and that both the content and form of conducting activities promote Tolerance, integration Solidarity and Intercultural Exchange.We want participants enjoy this opportunity to experience a vast and intense non-formal learning and to take advantage on the positive sense. The following methods will be used: workgroups, group dynamics, workshops, artistic, intercultural, sport and recreational activities.RESULTSWe think that participants will manage to:+ Have space for them to improve their self-awareness, personal responsibility, maturity and goal setting;+ Promote non-formal and experiential learning and intercultural learning;+ Learn simple ways to increase their physical activity and exchange traditions+ Develop their self-awareness of their personal strengths, talents, passions and dreams;+ Learn and implement activities or develop new ones with the help of their European peers;+ Expand their horizons.IMPACT AND BENEFITSThe impact and benefit of this activity is based on 3 main topics:(1) To support collaborations between Partners for the development of future projects involving people with Intellectual Disability thus fulfilling the main goals of the European Commission to promote the Dialogue, Mutual Tolerance, Intercultural Awareness and Solidarity. Also to break the prejudices and stereotypes for constructing a Society based on understanding and mutual respect.Also contribute to the development of civil society, facilitating the integration and active participation of young people with Intellectual Disability. Towards this direction the promoters can work with programs that provide opportunities for young people for Mobility and Active Participation in the construction of Europe 2020, ie improving the quality of mobility programs for young people with fewer opportunities, challenges of the new 2014-2020 program, etc ...(2) To help participants promoters to be able to posteriori to prepare, conduct and evaluate mobility projects aimed to people with Intellectual Disability and their participation in the ERASMUS+ PROGRAM.(3) Raise the level of knowledge of mobility opportunities for people with Intellectual Disability.
