Start date: Jun 1, 2016, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

We are applying for a three-week student and a-week teacher mobility training with the Erasmus + 2016 KA1 project. The top priority of the project is to obtain professional training for underprivileged students and their teachers to insure appropriate training in shortage trades and gain practical knowledge. We chose the head office in Biberach in Germany as a partner institution (we have been working with them five times before). The working training schedule has been arranged and accepted by both partners. Our teachers’ and students’ program is based on past experiences and our local requirements. We put high emphasis on certain areas to be able to gain better skills and knowledge. The teachers’ mobility will take place 27.06 to 03.07. 2016, the students’ mobility will take place 03.10. to 23.10.2016. There will be 28 students (they are 100% shortage trades: carpenter, bricklayer) and 3 teachers taking part in this project. 70% of the students are disadvantaged due to social status or learning difficulties. For the teacher training we are planning to delegate 9 teachers who are all members of our wood industry department. The following considerations have been taken into account in selecting our students: craftsmanship experiences and knowledge, creative capabilities, foreign language skills, motivation, professional opinions. The chosen students will sign a contract and take part in a training course for team and self-confidence building. The aim of the training is to raise awareness of the importance of supporting each other and a good relationship within the group. The students will also take part in professional theoretical and practical courses and language courses. To keep up motivation we only select the team members for the project at the end of the training. The students’ schedules for the three weeks are the following: two weeks’ experience in the training workshop and one-week practice in a production area. The carpentry students are going to learn about roof structures and different joinery technics They are going to learn about different methods of planning and drawing. This knowledge will be very useful for them in their further education. They will also learn about work safety. The bricklayers schedule is to learn about different wall building technics, base building and clay architecture. They will learn about how to calculate required amounts of materials also learn about work safety. The teachers’ program consists of factory visits, building site experiences, learning about the German education system. The program provides our colleagues a wide range of new professional knowledge, a chance to learn about the latest machinery used in this field, observing new teaching skills and motivating technics. We also organise cultural programs for the students. We are going to visit famous sites and buildings (Neuschwainstein castle, Ulm church, Füssen castle, …) to become more aware of the country’s heritage. The counterpart training school is going to issue a certificate and a Euro pass mobility card for the participants. These documents are accepted as compulsory training credits for the teachers. The agreement between the two institution ECVET states that the completed three-week course can be accepted in the corresponding modules, furthermore, it counts as a summer work experience and as part of their term time. At the end of the project we are going to assess each student to keep a record of their achievements as a result of their experience. The assessment will be done by the German trainers, their teachers, the coordinators and the head of the counterpart institute. After the arrival home students are going to make a self-assessment too.We are going to write an article, take photos and a video footage for our website and share our experiences with the local newspaper, radio station and television. Our experiences and gained knowledge will be presented on professional conferences ( Fában a jövönk, Sikertörténet Braziliából).Our experiences and gained knowledge will be used to improve our school’s education programme and motivate our student for further development, for their successful final exam and professional career. Our teachers will compile educational material in order to share new experiences. Our teachers’ experience will improve the level of teaching and training in the future. The aim of our institute is to give the students more experience and up to date knowledge with the help of our mobility programs. As a benefit of these programs, we already had some excellent results in different national and international competitions. Our two (disadvantaged) students Attila Felbert and Ádám Vidos, won bronze medal in Lille in 2014 in the EUROSKILLS competition as carpenters and Viszkeleti Gergő won the Szakmasztár competition in Hungary.
