The training course 'Exploring the potential of social media' addresses the issue of youth unemployment and the need to increase chances of young people to find a job. The training will focus on use of media platforms to help young peple into work. The project will gather a groups of youth workers (33 participants) from the UK, Bulgaria, Belarus, Cyprus, Greece, Moldova, Spain and Romania, and will be held in Minsk, Belarus in August 2015. The objectives of the projects are: - increase the level of awareness and key competences of youth workers in social media area - increase competences, linked to professional profiles of the participants - increased ability of youth workers and quality of projects within their organisations to address the needs of the disadvantaged young people they are working with. The programme designed is closely linked to the objectives of the project and participants' needs, aspirations and interests. The training course will offer space for interactions of participants working in different settings, sharing of ideas and creation of a platform for future international projects. The project will based on non-formal and informal education. Work in small and large groups, team building exercises, problem-solving tasks, simulation exercises, role play, debriefing, presentations, round table discussion, sessions for evaluation and reflection, etc. will be used throughout the training to ensure everyone has an opportunity to express themselves freely and to achieve maximum results in the learning process. The project offers space for active interaction, sharing ideas, analyse information, plan actions and express opinions as well as evaluate learning outcomes and put ideas into practice. The project will have impact on personal, socio-educational and professional development of the participants. The participants will increase their interpersonal,intercultural and foreign language skills. Increased level of awareness and competences in social media will have impact on professional and personal development. The participant will be equipped with practical knowledge how to use social media to enhance employability and be more successful in job hunting. This competences will empower the youth workers to implement diverse and attractive projects to address the needs of their target group to tackle youth unemployment issues. This project will have impact on everyday activities within the participants? organisations, but also on strategic level, as the participants will be equipped with knowledge of building of international partnership.
