Expert and eXcellence ACademy for Teachers
Start date: Dec 1, 2009,
The EXACT-consortium emphasizes the need of sharing knowledge, experiences, methodologies and tools in the field of lifelong learning. The partners from all the four regions in Europe (East, South, West, North) want to build a self-supporting and sustainable Centre of Excellence where good practices are shared, disseminated and exploited. Good practices already exist, but have to be prepared (tested, finalized and standardized), for a broad utilisation by organizations and professionals working with difficult target groups all over Europe. A Centre of Excellence in the field of lifelong learning will be established during the project period, leaning on the experience and developed expertise from former European projects under Grundtvig, Leonardo, Socrates, Youth and Minerva. The Centre will act as a tri-lingual knowledge centre where good practices are made available in both digital (web site and e-learning platform) and non-digital way (reports, training programmes, hand books etc.).To guarantee the Centre being self-supporting after the project period relevant key actors, decision makers and end-users will be involved and networks will be activated: for example needs analysis and marketing surveys will be carried out and public meetings, as part of the transnational meetings, will be held. Regional networks will be set up to optimize dissemination and exploitation of the products of EXACT. Internal monitoring systems and external evaluation, executed by a university, must vouch for a solid quality assurance. The project products will be disseminated and exploited by: - an online, interactive platform (web site); - work shops and training;-regional dissemination meetings in the involved countries;-broad publications and information in the consortium and the partners' networks; - incorporation of the good practices into in the curricula and methodologies of partners and their networks; - the set up of a mobile team based on a train-the-trainer concept.
