"Experimental Zone" is a 8 day s long semi -outdoor training course, which will be held in Bakuriani/Borjomi Kharagauli National park, Georgia from 23th of June till 30th of June 2016. The training course brings together 32 active and motivated youth workers who are working with disadvantaged/ vulnerable groups from the following 8 countries:.... . The group, together with 3 experienced trainers will go through the experiential learning cycle in order to give the participants the opportunity to develop practical skills in the facilitation and coaching of groups and hereby improve the quality of inclusive youth work done by the participants of the TC.Experiential learning and outdoor education will be the main methods used during the training. As mentioned , the group will go through the whole EL cycle (Concrete Experience → Reflective Observation → Abstract Conceptualization → Active Experimentation) in order to experience the group processes in practice. The project involves 3 days of challenging hiking trip in Borjom-Kharagauli National Park, located in the Southern mountain range of Caucasus, (Also called “Low Caucasus”) with its breath-taking beauty. Theoretical input will reinforce deep understanding of the topic by the participants. The program will ensure the permanent multi-step reflection using various methods throughout whole project in order to better shape-up the learning points. We will also make sure to leave the space for the participants to develop their own activities and transform the acquired knowledge into practical workshops, which will also boost their facilitation and leadership skills. Also, one of the significant part of the methodology will be introducing coaching techniques for participants, as we believe that everybody can develop coaching skills if they are willing too. Plus, working as a youth worker with various kind of target group, it's exceedingly important to be able to coach yourself at first place and other when it comes to team building and group dynamic. The envisaged and direct result is to have skillful and experienced youth workers after the training course, they are going to be a great asset for their own organizations. We do believe that they will be organizing different activities back home in order to test their new knowledge and share the experience among their communities, which creates a strong multiplier effect, as the participants of it are the ones directly working with the youngsters with social disadvantages, who can transfer the knowledge attained during the project in their daily work.
