The planned length of the project was a year. It began on 1st December, 2014 and finished on 30th November, 2015. Within the project we were organizing a trip to Plymouth, England- with a 4-week long vocational training and practice at work in the field of catering and tourism. The participants had communication and health trainings as well. The program was organized for 1 flow from 28th February, 2015 to 30th March, 2015. This practice was recognized for the students as their compulsory 4-week internship at school. The students were put up with families, which made studying even more intensive. The participants of the program were 12 students. 1 of them studied catering and tourism in the 10th year of a technical school. 2 of the participants were students in the 13th year- 1 of them in the field of tourism organizer and marketing, the other one in the field of catering manager and restaurateur. 4 of them prepared for their final exams in the field of catering, other 4 ones prepared for their vocational exams in the field of catering and tourism. There was a student , who studied in the 11 th year of the vocational school. The 16-year-old student – ending the school year in the 9th year of the technical school fulfilled a compulsory 13-day long summer practice related to the area of tourism.During this mobility she could fulfill the necessary practical sessions of the 10 th year at the reception of Tellus Group. The new professional working environment, the foreign language environment and cultural experiences developed her personality, and deepened her knowledge and competencies. For students participating in vocational training the required language level was B1. 3 of the students had already passed intermediate level English language exams before. They had more theoretical knowledge in the fields of restaurateur and catering manager and gained work experience during their compulsory practice. For them a different working environment with outlook on other expectations increased the opportunities for future employment. While students in the fields of tourism organizer and marketing acquired their first work experience in this mobility. For them it was especially important to develop their foreign language / professional foreign language competency since the basic criterion of obtaining the technical certificate is a successful language exam. The students had better results in the final exams due to the communication practice during this mobility They also had a better chance for further education .4 of them were admitted to a college or university. The purpose of the mobility was to develop professional and social skills and competencies in the fields of hospitalit, tourism and the English language; and to increase the students’ further education or employment opportunities as well. The internship was recognised as their compulsory traineeship, the students received a certificate from the partner institution verifying their development and results. We provided them with the Europass Mobility Certificate as well.
