Exchanges for changes
Start date: Jun 1, 2016, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project "Exchanges for changes" derives from the need for professional and human innovation of a group of teachers , head master and secretarial staff of the II Circolo Didattico di Spoleto. Our group of schools, which is composed of about 900 pupils, includes various institutes with children from the age of 3 to 11 situated in diverse parts of the town where the percentage of non -Italian students is quite high, along with students who have special needs for learning. The aims of this project are :-Elevating and transforming the school to a European dimension of education;- Expanding the teaching of English with a sistematic use of the CLIL methodology for students from 5 to 11.- Being able to work with teachers from other European countries on themes such as : evaluation of the teachers and pupils, teaching students who are foreigners and/or with special needs, use of new technologies in everyday lessons.- To start up an Erasmus partnership (KA2 action) with student and teacher exchanges in the school year 2016/17 and therefore the possibility to meet partners with whom to construct an exchange of ideas and good practices, increasing the use of the E-Twinning platform. There will be 8 teachers, the head master and four secretaries taking part in this project. Therefore, the exchanges have been planned at different times during the school year, in different countries, so as to avoid a negative impact on the teaching curriculum for students and teachers. In order to differentiate the experience of all participants, we have chosen to attend different courses organized by different organizations. The countries selected are Finland, Ireland and Great Britain.Besides attending language courses, all participants will be able to observe the teaching system in local schools. Thanks to the results of this project the participants involved will be able to put the CLIL methodology into practice, enriching the language lessons for the students and thereafter spreading this knowledge across the local territory to schools and families. The secretaries are particularly interested in observing and understanding other models of administrative management with the objective of integrating any useful information into our schools.
