EXCHANGE TEACHING AND MANAGEMENT IDEAS, PROMOTE ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN YOUNG PEOPLE
Start date: Sep 1, 2014, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The fundamental issue of the project is that of creating a well trained staff prepared to enhance in terms of international experience what the school can offer to students. With our many vocational green/technical/economic curricula the final professional outline is ideally that of somebody(staff and students) who is to have a learning attitude towards entrepeneurship and is able to use these skills in daily life because job and working experience needs this kind of skills nowadays. People need to be given the mind-set, skills and knowledge to generate creative ideas, and the entrepreneurial initiative to turn those ideas into action. A job/work is nowadays not a lifelong job, because of international movements and integration. A big step forward would be to have international involvement and job rotation as best practice. Besides these curricula, the school is developing new curricula for the new profile of the vmbo programs and looking for business (international internships) in a international surrounding as we are ready to look forward to the future. Our school is a reality in an area with a strong agricultural vocation and looking for new opportunities and needs developing substantial production of niche typical products by small medium enterprises in need of international promotion. We would like to be ready to train, develop and mold students so that they will be able to enter this job sector with active contribution . This will be possible only if our teachers' staff is in a position to understand international markets, cultures, teaching methods and digital means of communication, bearing in mind the fact that a basic knowledge of English is essential for an effective sharing of ideas and best practices. The number and profile of participants has been based on the idea of giving opportunity to motivated teachers to improve their general pedagogical experience with an eye to the inevitable dissemination inside the school itself. The activities took place both online , enhanced by educational platforms like Google Drive, and with mobilities to partners' countries. In the first case teachers worked both on teaching methodology and on practical everyday students' activities, sharing results on the platform. In the case of mobility the activities of job shadowing and teaching assignment at the partner school were organized so that every time more than one class and course were involved in the perspective of an everchanging approach to different students and the development of an inclusive attitude. In the case of the language and methodology lessons and laboratories that the Course providers have organized, on the basis of the characteristics of the staff involved (English/non English teachers), a tailored perspective has given its results. The potential longer term benefits will be not only on individual participants and on the participating organizations, but also outside the school and its staff, now ready to prepare students for the local jobs' market. So, at the local regional level, with involvement of businesses of the food producing and processing sector, together with tourism enterprises specialized in the environmental international target, the school will have been able to act as an economic boost factor and a precious link between education and working environment for its students.
