The project “Ex.Po. Exploring Possibilities” was a youth workers mobility that took place in Rho, Italy from March, 16th to 20th 2015. It consisted mainly in a 5 - days meeting and involved 8 participants from 4 Programme Countries: Italy (3 participants), Romania (1 participant), Slovenia (1 participant), Spain (3 participants from 2 different organisations). The project's activity was a training but at the same time a contact-making opportunity for youth workers coming from youth information and youth supporting organisations. The main theme of the meeting was volunteering experiences in events and how these can empower young people in terms of intercultural attitude, skills and soft competences. The project took place in the framework of the preparation activities for EXPO 2015 Milan. The project aimed at empowering youth workers about roles and tasks, skills and competences volunteers can gain through experiences in events as EXPO 2015 and other volunteering opportunities for young people in Cultural, Sport, Music Events around Europe. A particular attention was given to skills and competences recognition as a way to contribute in implementing youth participation and youth motivation in volunteering, to award volunteers and to enhance their employability. The project intended to give youth workers information and tools to promote this short-term volunteering involvement and also to make it a learning opportunity for the youngest. A part of the training was focused on recognition tools such as Europass Mobility and Youthpass.
