Fjaler voluntary service is coordinating 5 volunteer project, where two are linked more directly to the voluntary service and office. Tasks however have been most in the community and directed towards its inhabitants. Arena for work is in culture, art and leisure field, the mental challenged and the elderly, children and youth in kindergarten and school, in a sheltered workingplace and in the voluntary organizations. Elles has volunteer center in the municipality often role as taking care of the tasks that fell between several stolar. The Volunteer service is charge of logistics, like loding, payment of money, application, plan, report and accounts. They are in contact with partners and in cooperation with schools and kindergarten, the municipal services and departments, voluntary organizations and this year to the local Volunteer service in Askvoll. The five volunteers will have assignments to 35t / v. In addition, optional leisure activity. For the Volunteer Centre (Luis from Spain and Ana from Slovenia) Their tasks are coordinated by the Volunteer Centre and tasks have been distributed according with a schedule in Dale and Flekke with this consequence: in office (photos, posters, info work, inspection of meeting places, etc.,) in kindergarten, school for children and youth, in the library, in leisure activities for mental challenged and in culture and art project in voluntary organizations. They have been trained by qualified persons on each assignment. From project they learned how their community works at several venues and how culture is. The Volunteer sertvice in Askvoll (Jacob from Germany) The assignments have been in Askvoll (20 min from Dale) and similar to the tasks in Dale. It has been work in the office with updating fb and editing photos, in schools and kindergarten, with transport of food delivery, computer training for seniors, the activity center for the handicapped, outdoor activities and for youth. He learned about the community and how voluntary exchange exerted. The leader in Askvoll has been followed him up. The volunteer has been much together with volunteers in Dale in their spare time. Dale Upper Secondary School - (Graeme from Scotland / UK) His tasks were linked to youth aged 16 to 18 and was in the cafeteria with healthy food, in English lessons, in the Open schools and various activities for pupils. He learned about this school system, how it works and about youth. He has been followed up by the Principal and the social worker, but also by several of the teachers. Vevang Production AS - (Elvira from Russia) Here tasks has been in sheltered workplace for trade and she has followed the users on the way for work and learned about NAV system in Norway . She has participated in the organization of tasks for users, communicated, helped and followed up in the production for textile and wood, in different small scale production and in the laundry. She also worked with photography and updating fb and website. The leader of the trade had the main responsibility for follow-up. All volunteers have participated in ad-hoc assignments as local volunteers, volunteer at festivals, the Red Cross camps and other events. The volunteers have gained insight into Norwegian and local culture in a very international community and we have received inspiration and ideas from their culture. We have good feedback from all of them and from the local community. Together we have a memory for life and this makes it easier for those who will come after us to be together without borders that keep us apart!
