EVS INSTEAD OF UNEMPLOYMENT is a EVS project which involve 28 volunteers from 4 European countries (Italy, Poland, Spain and Sweden) who will work together for 6 months in Brazil and Guinea Bissau and 4 volunteers from South America (Brazil) and Africa (Guinea Bissau). All activities involve youth with fewer opportunities, the long-term unemployed. The volunteers will stay in 2 groups at the Host Organizations for 6-6 months following each other in service. The main activities are developing "Green Communities" in each host country, and working with children and youth, providing wide range of classic and new, creative activities and educational workshops.The main aims of the project are: gain skills and competences based on non-formal and informal learning that contribute to increase the chances of employability of young people specially with fewer opportunities and at the same time stimulate active participation in the society among young people.
