The working group "Open youth work", who's part of the German speaking youth council of Belgium (RdJ) host an European volunteer to support the youth worker of the youth center in Eupen. The project shall reinforce the values of the youth center. As well young people from the youth center as the volunteer shall raise their awareness of solidarity and intercultural living together and also develop a common dynamic. The volunteer shall live to see what it means to grow up as a youngster in the German speaking part of Belgium. He can share his lifestyle and preferences in planing and realizing projects for and with other young people. By hosting a European volunteer, the youth council RdJ will show that he's able to transforme the values, he insists in, like participation, inclusion and self-improvement of young people, in actions. This will give him reliability/credibility in the strategic networks, in which he defends the view and needs from young people.
