EVS France and Kenya North South Solidarity for Sustainable Development was born of the wish of KVDA and Concordia to work together in a long term volunteering project about north south solidarity and sustainable development and get the chance to exchange and share best practices in these matters in each country. Both organizations wished to give the chance to volunteers from Kenya and France to participate in an EVS project where they could be actors and promoters of volunteering, active citizenship and sustainable development issues. In the project in Kenya, EVS volunteers will participate in KVDA's office work, as to get to know the activities of KVDA with a sustainable development basis, promote volunteering, and participate in trainings. Volunteers will also participate in international workcamps organized by KVDA connected to environmental issues. In the project in France, the Kenyan volunteer will be participating in a project called Tools for life which was born of the wish and work of a former EVS volunteer. The kenyan EVS will work together with his tutor, volunteers and several groups of the community (children, young people, etc) in the promotion of reduce, reuse, recycle in a sustainable development basis.
