Participants in both traineeship improved their English skills. Their communicative competence was improved in terms of both technical terms and in terms of everyday life. The project offered traineeships to students in third class who already have the theoretical knowledge , practical skills and specific language skills. Participants who attended the traineeship were carefully selected according to predetermined criteria , the most important was their relationship to selected fields , and their language and practical skills. Foreign placements took place at two locations. The first place was the Greek research institute of the sea and the environment Archipelagos on the Greek island of Samos - at this point there were two races : the spring 2015 and spring 2016. Each run 8 students participated in three weeks and were engaged in the research of marine fauna and flora , collecting samples, chemical analyses and environmental protection of this destination . They worked both in the field and in the lab or at a computer. The second place was Italy , Rimini, where long-term partner in the project with the Italian Sistema Turismo intermediary organization that provides vocational courses for students in mobility projects . The Italian organization arranged two traineeships - one in the autumn 2014 and the second in autumn 2015. Each traineeship was attended by 6 students and each traineeship lasted 3 weeks. The placements contributed not only to the professional growth of participants and language , but also to their personal growth . It Improved their independence , ability to work in a team, responsibility or ability to focus on the European labour market. For the Secondary School Otrokovice the project had a great importance for several reasons. For those who are interested in future studies is the possibility of foreign practice very attractive and is available equally to all students from different social classes. Participants can submit their traineeship experience prior to his classmates at school and teachers , which can lead to change established practices and thus to improve the expertise or training organization . Professional traineeship enhanced the professional competence of students , which is certainly welcome by the largest employer in the region Barum Continental, the world famous tire manufacturer . The prestige of the school rose due to the possibility of work placements abroad, thanks to an article in the local press about such possibilities learnt the general public. Thanks to assessment tools Europass Mobility and ECVET , the school moved in the evaluation of qualifications and approached to the European system of recognition of qualifications.
