„Европейския опит в областта на аграрния и селския туризъм – предпоставка за успешна реализация на пазара на труда”
Start date: Oct 1, 2014, End date: Oct 1, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Tsanko Tserkovski Vocational High School of Agricultural Technologies is a state school, financially subdued to the Ministry of agriculture and food. The school’s history dates back to 1921. It is situated in Northern Bulgaria, the town of Pavlikeni, Veliko Tarnovo District. The organization’s specific purpose is to train students in the fields of tourism, farming and forestry. The specialties are designed according to the economics and the agricultural production in the region. The current project is related to the specific needs of the students studying “Rural tourism”. Their needs include: enriching and broadening of what has already been learnt in terms of professional skills and orientation as well as in-future realization on the labor market. By the moment of conducting the mobility, the students have acquired preliminary theoretical knowledge and practical skills of the profession they are studying about. The research made among factories shows that there is a need for better practical skills and more modern understanding. The conduction of training practices in real working atmosphere is difficult due to both objective and financial matters despite the desire of the teaching staff. The hotels and other tourist objects near the town of Pavlikeni, in which students conduct part of their practice, cannot afford technological base on an European level. That is why the graduates do not cover the business requirements and are incapable of being competitive on both our and European labor markets. Most of the employers reject to recruit them for work. The conduction of a production practice in Italy and receiving a certificate will increase utterly students’ chances for finding a decent job. In order to be successfully competitive on the labor market, they are supposed to practice, acquire and apply in the future the achievements and experiences of developed European economies. All of these facts motivate us to seek for paths and ways to improve the attractiveness of the vocational education. The duration of our project is twelve months. The practical training will be for two weeks, conducted in July, 2015 in Italy - Fattoria Biologica Patrice – Spoleto. Main aims: - improving the vocational education offered in Bulgaria through acquiring professional competences in real working conditions according to current European standards; Subsidiary aims: - enriching learners’ professional competences by getting familiar with the European standards in the field of agricultural and rural tourism; - improving the eligibility and competitiveness - improving the intercultural and language competences and the teamwork as well - creating new social skills for in-future cooperative activities Anticipated results: - better chances for the young people in terms of professional realization and competences - enriching their view of life and ideology - acquiring European consciousness and self-confidence for community belonging The participants in the mobility are 20, studying “Rural Tourism”, who have started with initial training and kept on to continuous training. The project is oriented towards providing equal opportunities for both boys and girls from different ethnical groups. The students’ learning level is 10th and 11th grade. They have been through the course which enables them to take part in the mobility. As a result of the accomplished project aims, the learners will improve their competences in the field of tourism according to common European standards and will develop their communicative English. In a long-term plan, the young people are going to have better chances for work. Also, the level of cooperation between our school and Fattoria Biologica Patrice - Spoleto will be higher aiming at conducting future mobility. On a local level, higher school prestige is expected with a continuous admission of students in the field of tourism. Moreover, the trust from factories in the region is also significant for us.
