In the last years the role of vocational education and training grows as a factor for sustainable socio-economic development of the countries in Europe. The European initiatives answer the fast changes in the economy and society and require continuous improvement of the systems for vocational education and training and modernization of the base, so those systems contribute to the increase of the employment and social integration in accordance with the needs of society and the labor market. According to the Bruges Communiqué on enhanced European cooperation in vocational education and training for better growth of skills and employment, as the primary method to achieve this is learning through work in Europe. Thus the European Union has established itself as a society of the education and training, whose main objective is to achieve and maintain economic development with great steadiness. The objectives of the Erasmus+ programme are in this direction. The programme supports cooperation between education and training organizations in Europe, the exchange of knowledge and skills in different areas, the mobility of participants. In this way European education and training systems improve and enrich. Thus the objectives of the Europe 2020 Strategy to promote smart, sustainable and inclusive growth are achieved. This project is aimed to help in the long-term plan the professional advancement of students, offering them the opportunity to acquire new professional experience specifically in the field of hardware and software tools for multimedia processing that are insufficiently covered in the curriculum, despite their large application nowadays. The project offers participants the opportunity to develop their professional skills during the three-week practice in companies with modern equipment and advanced technology. The mobility includes 30 students from Profesionalna gimnazia po tehnika i elektrotehnika “Hristo Botev” – Montana, studying “Software”, “Computer Technology”, “Computer Networks”. The three-week practice will be organized by our partner Tellus Ltd in Portsmouth, England for the period from 06/26/2016 to 07/16/2016. The level of the development of the economy of each country depends on the level and the range of application of the modern information and communication technologies. In all regions in our country, as well as in the region of Montana, there is an acute shortage of software specialists who could apply new methods and tools for hardware and software multimedia processing. In the region there are companies who are seeking to work at a high level for the needs of employers and all citizens. That is why highly qualified specialists in this field are needed. A research in our region showed that there is a need for specialists, trained in modern and high-tech environment. At the moment there is an acute shortage of specialists, who can work with the latest hardware and software tools for multimedia processing. With the implementation of this project the following objectives, consistent with the goals and objectives of Erasmus+ programme will be achieved: 1. Improvement of technical skills and expertise of the participants on high-tech level, with high quality standards 2. Increasing of the language skills of the users, so that they can perform instructions in English in the realization of practical tasks 3. Acquiring new personal skills in a new cultural environment and making new social contacts 4. Acquiring new knowledge about the system of the vocational education in England, the customs and the culture of the country As a result of the successful realization of the project the following results will be achieved: • New skills and competencies in a real modern and high-tech work environment • Increased opportunities for future professional career • "New hardware and software tools for multimedia processing" - new manual, made by students, to be used in training and practice of all students at our school. • Increased language skills for communication and work of the students for the labor market • Established new social contacts • Increased knowledge of the culture, education, economic and social structure of England Long-term benefits: The project beneficiaries to take full advantage of the resulting benefit to continue their professional education or to succeed in the labor market. The sending organization to establish a position as permanent and successful working institution of international level in Europe. Host organization to develop and expand its international activities on projects in quantitative and qualitative terms. The partnership between the two organizations to continue with effective and long lasting development. Due to the high quality vocational education on all levels, the students from Profesionalna gimnazia po tehnika i elektrotehnika “Hristo Botev” – Montana to be successful as specialists in the region, our country and abroad.
