Everyone is an Artist
Start date: Dec 1, 2016, End date: Dec 31, 2018 PROJECT  FINISHED

This is a project that develops innovative products in the field of non-formal learning methodologies for social inclusion of youth with disabilities through art.The overall objective of the project is the inclusion of young people with functional diversity through art and creative expression. The project aims to work on stigma, isolation, social exclusion and lack of access to cultural and artistic world through awareness, empowerment, creating participatory spaces, the approach of cultural and artistic activities that will generate a horizontal and based on ability and citizen participation methodology.Five European organizations from Spain, Italy, Portugal and Hungary believed in the need to create a strategic partnership to develop a project where young disabled participants will be trained about an artistic discipline (Land Art, photography, dance, music or theater) and then they will create an artistic project by themselves and later they will participate in the the whole dissemination of project. It is an innovative project because:• Use and promote culture and art as a means of empowerment and awareness• Testing different expressive disciplines where each one has different abilities / skills with the same level of participation (involvement of users/young people)• Go beyond disability, sharing capabilities/skills (between people with disability and without)• Increase visibility (awareness) as it helps to go beyond fear caused by ignorance, knowing that people are just people and that differences are resources, not problems. This project will result a guide to methodology and a documentary which will be reflected two years of the project. This project will impact on:• Participants: people with different skills (disability), professionals of culture sector, artists and others interested in society and involved in the creative process, also indirectly families and citizens.• General public (awareness)• Exchange of tools/ methodologies between organizations. The idea is that each entity share its expertise in 1 or 2 art disciplines (music, theatre, painting, sculpture, dance, etc.) • Promotion of young local artists (with or without disabilities)
