Europejskie Praktyki Zawodowe dla uczniów LZN, jako szansa rozwoju zawodowego i osobistego.
Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Jun 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project titled „European vocational training as a chance of professional and personal development of LZN’s students” is addressed at students of Lotnicze Zakłady Naukowe and aims at increasing their competitiveness on the labour market by broadening professional competence they are gaining while learning in our school. 45 participants will be chosen from among students of two specialties: mechatronics and technicians of exploitation of ports and terminals .The need for activities envisioned in the proposed project stems from the current realities of the labour market. Employers expect their employees to possess not only broad theoretical knowledge, but also a practical ability to perform functions linked with a given position. That is why the quality of the vocational component of education offered by our school is very important. Dynamic growth of shipping and logistics, as well as mechatronics sectors virtually guarantees demand for a well-prepared, highly qualified personnel. However, every year thousands of fresh graduates of IT and economy-related courses enter the labour market, making it very competitive. Thus, in order to find a good job, young people need professional experience and additional advantages, such as foreign languages and the ability to function in an international environment. Having in mind such a situation, Lotnicze Zakłady Naukowe proposes a project, that will provide our students with an opportunity to: - gain important professional experience and increase competence, - get familiar with the international labour market and working conditions in other European countries, - improve the ability to communicate in foreign languages, - become more self-reliant, - meet people of different races, nationalities, religions and cultures. Participation in the proposed project will therefore constitute a valuable element in the process our students undergo to prepare themselves for starting professional careers. Firstly, it will enable them to gain necessary experience. Secondly it will help them to embrace opportunities resulting from the process of European integration. Mobilities envisioned in the project will take place in November 2014. Participants will be divided into two groups of 15 and 30. The first group, consisting of 8 mechatronics and 7 technicians of exploitation of ports and terminals students, will travel to Germany (Berlin) where for 4 weeks students will take part in professional vocational training in various companies and organizations. The second one, consisting of 18 mechatronics and 12 technicians of exploitation of ports and terminals students, will travel to Italy(Bologna) where for 4 weeks students will take part in professional vocational training in various companies and organizations.
