Europejski staż młodych kucharzy i murarzy szansą na rozwój zawodowy

The participants of the project ‘European internship of young cooks and bricklayers – a chance for vocational development’ implemented in the frame of Erasmus + Programme will be a group of 50 pupils of Podlaska Voivodeship Unit of Voluntary Labor Corps (10 people in each group). They study professions of cook and bricklayer in Basic Vocational Schools in Łomża, Białystok, Augustów and Wasilków. Pupils of Podlaska Voivodeship Unit of VLC their vocational skills acquire having a status of juvenile employees both in our own production and training base (bricklayers workshops, gastronomic workshops) and also by external employers (in restaurants, bars, canteens and private construction companies). Each of 10-people group together with 1 leader will go on vocational internship (in mentioned above professions) to Frankfurt an der Oder in the period between January and April 2017. The host organization is Berufsförderungswerk e.V. des Bauindustrieverbandes Berlin-Brandenburg e.V. in Potsdam. The project is a response to employers’ request for broad qualified employees in the field of building industry and gastronomy in our voivodeship and country. The project was developed in consultation with employers who currently employ above-mentioned pupils within the scope of practical preparation. In their opinions they report a need for developing in juvenile employees additional skills that are not included in the apprenticeship programme of Basic Vocational Schools and in programme realized in workplaces owing to specific business profile. The main aim of the project is to raise vocational qualifications of participants through gaining workshop experience abroad. A very important will be also personal development of participants, broadening their outlook horizons and getting to know work culture in Germany. That will increase their mobility both on national and European labor market. The important aim of the training is also to learn German vocational language that will help participants to develop interpersonal skills in contact with foreign-language client in the future job. It will also ease them functioning on foreign labor market. Before going to the vocational internship pupils will participate in 60-hours German language course in frame of cultural-pedagogical-language preparation. Participants will serve their apprenticeship in well-equipped workshops in small groups under the tutelage of experienced instructors in accordance with German methodology. It will result in gaining high level knowledge and skills (it will be confirmed by certificates of host organization BWF and Europass-Mobility). After practical exam in our country also Podlaska Voivodeship Unit of VLC is going to issue the certificate confirming competences gained during the internship.The project will result in increasing the chances of employment of young people entering Polish and European labor market (also mobilities). The result of the project will be also raising qualifications of young people and gaining additional professional experience. In order to give a wider range of benefits that come from participation in vocational internship in frame of Erasmus + Programme information on this subject will be published in local newspapers and on website of Podlaska Voivodeship Unit of VLC as well as on website of Main Unit of VLC. The information about additional way of support during vocational training will be passed on also to schools in Podlasie voivodeship that we cooperate with. Moreover, the course of vocational internships will be presented during meetings and conferences organized at the end of the project with local guests: employers, representatives of local authorities and schools as well as participants, tutors and staff of Podlaska Voivodeship Unit of VLC.
