The project entitled “The European Traineeship as a Step into the Future” will be carried out in the Complex of Schools in Piotrkowice Male, Poland, as an answer to the needs of the local and regional work market. 25 students who specialize to be logistics technicians, car mechanics technicians, food and catering technicians will take part in a four-week traineeship: one group in October 2016 and the other in October 2017.The main aim of the project is to develop a significant range of the participants' work skills, which will greatly influence their job development, and to increase their mobility on job markets. Conducting this project will be important in both sector and regional contexts. The project will focus on completing horizontal issues such as promoting equality and equal opportunities on job markets. Cooperation with companies that specialize in car mechanics, logistics and catering will make it possible for the students be active and attractive at the local work markets. The project aims at improving the conditions of specialist skills training and continuous learning that will influence the growth in qualifications of the Proszowice Area inhabitants and their situation on the local and regional job markets. The foreign partner is a German company Vitalis GmbH from Schkeuditz. We chose that firm because they are experienced in organizing traineeships that suit the needs of our students. The added value of the project is creating bonds with German companies which should enable the participating students to find jobs in the countries of the European Union. The participants of this foreign apprenticeship will get new job skills, acquire some first-hand experience and obtain new knowledge in the fields of their specializations. They will develop their language skills, improve their language proficiency and cultural competences. They will also build their intercultural competences and their self-esteem. Through that project the students will get new skills and qualifications, which will be confirmed by the Europass Mobility and ECVET certificates. Such documents will surely be very important for the young people CVs, as employers nowadays expect to find workers educated both in theory and practice.
