Europejski staż fundamentem przyszłości zawodowej. Przyszli budowlańcy na praktykach zawodowych w Brandenburgii.
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project "European internship as a foundation for the professional future. Prospective builders on professional practice in Brandenburg" is addressed to students from technical school. Participants will be recruited in Technical Secondary School No. 5 in Tychy, cooperating closely with IB Poland Interdisciplinary Studies. The target group are second grade students specialized in civil engineering construction. The mobilities are planned for 3 groups in the period from December 2015 to December 2017. During three-weeks internships students will confront their present theoretical knowledge with practice in the construction field. With the assistance of experienced instructor they will learn masonry techniques and will gain useful carpentry skills. Participation in the project will be an excellent challenge for the students. The newly gained skills and experience will increase their chances for future employment since they will allow them to fulfill expectations of the employers and increasingly demanding labour market. In spite of professional skills, young people will develop other significant competences, such us: independence, responsibility, ability to work in a team, openness, flexibility and entrepreneurship. Internship in Germany will also be a chance to combat language barrier which may result in bigger openness towards German community. Before the mobility students will participate in preparatory training whose aim will be to introduce them to some basic information about Germany, its citizens, history and culture. During their free time in Germany participants will take part in a few interesting trips (Berlin, Potsdam). They will also have a chance to benefit from the sport facilities (pitch, climbing wall, gymnasium) situated in the venue where they will be accommodated and will perform the internship. German partner to the project is IB Berlin-Brandenburg gGmbH, Betrieb Südost, situated in Frankfurt an der Oder, active for more than 20 years (earlier as Förder- und Integrationszentrum). It is an institution with a lot of experience in the field of professional training and international initiatives.
