Start date: Aug 21, 2016, End date: Aug 20, 2018 PROJECT  FINISHED

Project "Europejski start fundamentem przyszłości Zespołu Szkół im. Macieja Rataja w Reszlu" will be included in the concept of the school development.During the project the international mobilities will be implemented, we plan to use them to participate in:- language courses conducted in our school and foreign institutions (aimed at providing teachers with language skills, which is necessary to achieve our aims - planned EU projects in the areas of: students mobilities connected to vocational education and exchanges of partner schools and the mobility of educational staff to improve their qualifications during professional courses in foreign institutions)- methodical courses, methodical-language courses in foreign institutions,- professional courses or trainings abroadParticipation in the international projects is one of the priorities in our school and a great opportunity for students and teachers with such a small town as Reszel and surrounding villages for equalising opportunities.Nine teachers involved in the project are qualified staff with the experience in working with young people from different backgrounds. All of them have a higher education degree in teacher training. The project participants constantly enrich their workshop by participation in various forms of iprofessional developement such as trainings, qualification courses, postgraduate studies.Participation in the project will enable them to learn new cultures and countries, raise the skills and qualifications, gain experience and realize how many opportunities the knowledge of English provides. In addition, the students of different types of departments in our school take part in professional trainings in various institutions, to enable them to improve the professional skills and gain experience. To enrich the educational offer in our schools and give for our students a chance to gain a richer experience, we would like in the future to enable them to participate in the professional trainings and placements in foreign institutions under the Erasmus plus program. This is possible, however, when the teaching staff has the necessary language skills enabling them to take care of their students during mobility in order to participate in the professional trainings and placements or while strategic partnerships projects to support the exchange of good practices. At the moment at our school only few teachers speak English communicatively, which is a barrier for them from engaging in any project activities. Participation in language and professional courses can help to enhance their sense of improved language proficiency and encourage them to engage in the implementation of planned projects. What is more, another important goal of the project is to improve the skills and qualifications of teaching staff, not only in terms of foreign language skills, but also the use of new tools and teaching methods in working with students (ICT, CLIL) and acquirement the necessary skills and experience that will be used during their classes. Implementation of the project will also influence the development of the school as institution will be seen in the local environment as a growing school and its European dimension will be raised.
