The project aims to enhance professional development of teachers working for Zespol Szkol Ogolnoksztalcacych No 10 in Gliwice. Our organisation comprises Middle School and High School. Our organisation not only fulfils the standards of Polish national curriculum, but also has implemented IB Programme and is currently working on introducing IB Middle Years Programme. What is more, there are classes steamed for English at Middle School. Consequently, all the teachers are encouraged to develop their professional skills to meet high expectations of the management, students and parents. We wish to participate in 22 courses. Due to the fact that the duration of the project is rather long, some of the applicants may take part in more than one course. The applicants work for either or both schools within ZSO No 10. They are mainly L2 and L3 teachers or teach general subjects in English within any of the above mentioned programmes. The project aims to develop and promote ICT which is already used in our school on regular basis. All the goals are in accordance with the strategy and policy of our organisation which aspires for advancement and innovation still quite unique in Gliwice. The courses will: Develop the quality of work Make the school more attractive in the region Enhance professional development Master language skills Promote new methods and approaches in teaching Strengthen students’ motivation Develop and facilitate ICT Use unconventional teaching aids Encourage task based teaching and learning Promote coaching and counselling among students and teachers We hope that our project will have a significant influence on our school, teachers and students, it aspiring to bring so many benefits. Furthermore, the project will have its impact in a longer perspective on the quality of work and students results at final exams. We desire to meet teachers from other countries, exchange experience, due to which fact our organisation will be more open to Europe and the entire world.
