The project included a two four-week internship trip , which was attended by a group of 24 students from ?om?a, Poland. There were 2 accompanying persons ? group leaders, who held job shadowing due to the theme of the project and the possibility to exchange experience in vocational training in the two countries. European cooperation in education and vocational training was strengthened as well. The duration of the internship in the companies was the same as the practice time that is organized in companies in their country during the course of school education i.e. 4 weeks. The participants of the project, the interns, were ZSEiO students being educated in the profession of tourist services, as well as two accompanying persons ? guardians of the trainees. The main objectives: - raising the level of key competencies and skills through learning mobility and cooperation between the worlds of education and work; - improving the quality, innovation and internationalization of educational institutions; - modernization of education systems through the exchange of good practices and results, and the use of European tools to facilitate the recognition and transferability of qualifications; - developing the international dimension of education and training institutions in particular through cooperation of the countries participating in the program with the institution of the partner countries in the program of education and vocational training; - teaching and learning foreign languages. The implementation of the project contributed to increasing the quality and quantity of regional mobility of people involved in vocational training. Due to the completion of internship training in enterprises, the project participants gained their first professional experience, expanded their knowledge, skills and key sectional competencies necessary for employees working in their specialty of modern enterprises. Foreign practice also allowed for greater powers in the field of tourism and other professional profiles of students, who also had the chance to examine the possibility of practical application of their knowledge and skills. The acquisition of this knowledge was confirmed by the participants receiving Europass Mobility documents. Participation in the internship gave students the opportunity to check their language and vocational competencies in the conditions of daily life and work in a foreign country. Due to the activities that were included in the remedial program, the students strengthened their knowledge of Business English. The developed language skills will affect the mobility and creativity of the trainees in their future job search. Despite some shortcomings during the mobility implementation, certain remedial actions were introduced and the participants gained the following value added skills: ? they gained new skills and served foreign work practice (certificates); ? they developed their general and business language (tourist services) skills; ? their openness and mobility was expanded; ? their employability was increased; ? they are aware of the necessity of further education; ? they have improved their intercultural, IT, mathematical and enterprising competencies; ? they developed the ability of teamwork, problem solving, risk taking, as well as their creativity and responsibility. The applicant institution has raised the prestige and the positive opinion of its educational institution, both among current students and their parents /guardians and the school candidates. Thanks to the project the attractiveness of the school to its potential students was raised ? they can count on the participation in similar projects internship in the future. What is more, local education authorities and the government positively assess the school, its potential, capabilities and the ability to independently create events reinforcing its educational potential. Teachers, due to their guardian role, learned other, new methods of teaching and work organization. The Lithuanian partner of the project, thanks to a joint project implementation, gained new experience in international cooperation with the school educating in the field of tourist services, and increased its prestige. It therefore became better known in Poland and can count on new partners in mobility projects, attracted by the example of successful project implementation.
