The project ‘European mobility of students and graduates of Technical Secondary School of Modern Technology in Kleszczow – the guarantee of success and professional career’ is aimed at the target group of young people who are educated in the field of mechatronics. The partner of the project is a vocational training centre ‘WBS TRAINING AG’ in Germany. The project corresponds to our needs of extending the school curriculum with the issues of computer aided design and improving the students’ competences of using vocational English as well as getting professional experience by the implementation of vocational training abroad. As part of the project the participants will participate in two-week vocational training in the branch office of the vocational training centre ‘WBS TRAINING AG’ in Dresden. The participants will be divided into four groups of 14-15 students and two accompanying teachers per each mobility. The main objective of the project is the improvement of students’ competences in the field of designing and constructing devices with the use of modern computer programmes AutoCAD 2, AutoCAD 3D 2016, 2017 and Inventor 2016. By the implementation of the project our school strives to improve the participants’ knowledge and skills of foreign languages, including English in the scope of specialized vocabulary and German in the scope of everyday communication as well as prepare the students for the role of multinational, multicultural and multilingual citizen in European context. Besides, it will be valuable to assist the project participants in starting their professional career by improving their competences and promoting the idea of lifelong learning and constant personal and professional development. What is more, the implementation of the project will make the students more enterprising, motivated to gain knowledge and tolerant to other nations. The project will also contribute to strengthening the position of our school on the European market and developing the professional competences of the accompanying teachers who will be made familiar with innovative tools and methods of teaching. The participants will be selected according to some pre-defined criteria. The sending organization will prepare the participants mentally, linguistically and culturally. It will also organize the journey and the insurance of the participants. The host organization will provide the accommodation for the groups and public transport tickets to get to the training place. Both organizations will be responsible for mentoring and support of the participants. When the participants finish the training and come back to Poland, the dissemination and use of the project’s results will take place. The expected learning outcomes are: the participants’ development of professional competences in the field of computer aided design (AutoCAD 2D, Auto CAD 3D 2016, 2017, Inventor 2016), the improvement of language competences certified by the host organization and Europass Mobility document, Europass Language passport, getting familiar with innovative technological solutions used by European employers and gaining professional experience abroad. The acquired experience will have significant impact on students’ motivation to learn, development of initiative as well as team work, also with foreign members. The prospective long-term benefits are: making the school more attractive to learners because of the European dimension of education, further cooperation with German employers in order to continue vocational trainings, implementation of new teaching methods or tools, promoting the attitudes of openness and tolerance among teenagers.
