PROJECT: EUROPEANIZE OUR SCHOOL: TOGETHER IS BETTER. CONTEXT The CEIP Cervantes de Espejo is located about thirty miles from the capital of the province of Córdoba. 19 professionals teach 250 students from Kindergarten to year 6 primary school. According to a preliminary report and the evaluation results obtained there appears to be a need to provide both, students and faculty an international approach in order to improve teaching and learning activities, English language skills and motivation. PARTICIPANTS, NUMBER AND PROFILE The Committee of International Activities has been created. This committee will consist of: one member of the management team, teachers who participate in activities, a representative of AMPA. This team will be responsible for leading and guiding the project . Three activities of movility are proposed, so three primary school teachers who have ultimate destination in the center and offer both experience and a proficient level in language skills will participate. ACTIVITIES One of the main activities planned is a CLIL course held in the UK. This will impact and improve methodology in the center which will be passed on at meetings of bilingual team. Other activities includes contact with a European center with extensive experience in both programs exchange and multilingualism that will help us better understand the reality and European practices. This will have a period of Job shadowing to provide practical experience in internationalization issues. METHODOLOGY Analyze and gradually introduce an effective practice and acquire competence in the CLIL course from an analytical perspective which will evaluate and find the suitability of each step given in the project in order to achieve greater quality. We will complete various aspects of our school organization such as: curriculum, use of resources, teacher training etc RESULTS AND EXPECTED IMPACT AND BENEFITS IN THE SCHOOL SYSTEM. The main impact for the short and long term will be the internationalization of the center through European projects. We also aim to improve language proficiency, academic achievement, motivation of our students with respect to their training, promote our school and region and integrate other European cultures. Recognition of the project will impact positively schools locally aswell as on a national level. One of the main benefits that we will get from this project will be expanding our future prospects and enhance the role that the school has on society in general.
