European Water School

The project will take place at “The Aquascole” at St Pierre de Coutances. We propose an individual EVS as we have one place for a project with a duration of 11 months. The participants can have origin from any country as long as they are eligible to participate in the “Erasmus +” program. In the case of our project, the participating countries are Macedonia and France. We are going to host a young macedonian boy or girl who will have the possibility to participate at the organisation’s AVRIL activities which are about environmental education and sustainable development from the 3rd of October 2016 till the 3rd September 2017.This project will give to the volunteer the possibility to work together with the staff of the organisation by:− Helping at the organisation and the realisation of various European projects such as youth exchanges, trainings for young European adults under the program Erasmus +, Interreg, etc.− Helping in the construction of educational tools (from the concept to use it at workshops)− Participating in various workshops alongside other young people, mostly job-seekers on the basis of a reinsertion project.− Building relations with high schools and senior high schools in Coutances (and in the surroundings) in order to promote the EVS.− Participating at ‘Europe’s Club’ at Jeun-Paul II High School/Senior High School at Coutances.− Helping in improving the communication practices of our organisation.− Helping with administration work.− Participating at the library’s management.− Helping at the realisation of events such as “Water Festival”, “Festival of water classes”, “Festival of the bocage” etc.− Working on our European project partner's network.− Promoting the EVS amongst the local youth population.− Promoting his country of origin, Macedonia.− Meeting and working together with our local partners.Our objectives:− Promote European citizenship and the awareness of the need for a sustainable development.− Involve a young macedonian in our environmental education activities so that when he returns to his country he can share the knowledge and values he has acquired, particularly around the subject of water.− Discuss with the local population about life in his country of origin, Macedonia, by sharing her experiences with them.− Familiarise young locals with the subject of international mobility.− Make the volunteer active and give him the chance to acquire new competences in order to facilitate his access to employment after the end of his project.All along of the project the methods of non-formal education will be used.
