European Trainees for Employability
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

European Trainees for Employability , ETE , was originally created by Tuejar Town Hall with the participation of Reggio Calabria province represented by the intermediary company DarsanaTeranga. European Trainees for Employability was intended to strengthen the role of transnational mobility and strength the EU dimension in vocational training, orienting the target group (young people with some experience in the tourism and hotel trade work field, with no previous work experience , who were looking for their first job or recent graduates and people with few or non formal education, unemployed people who would like to do an experience abroad in the tourism and hotel trade work field) to contribute to the development of this ideal of a more equal world. ETE was aimed to give the participant target group the opportunity to acquire new skills through an experience abroad that could enrich them with new working skills together with a cultural heritage that they could gain through living and working in a foreign country. They could acquire new competencies, working methods and procedures, relational and cultural skills, that they could "import" to their home country During the last days of July 2015 , and after Tuejar Town Hall decixded not to continue with the project, CIP FP Cheste decided to accept teh coordination of the program and started working with the partners that were mentioned on it,modifying some aspects of the MOU to make it more suitable for Cheste students due to the fact that the project was initially intended to focus on tourism. In short, ETE aimed to: 1) Stimulate the target group to work in the field of tourism and hotel trade in order to seek new opportunities of acquiring core skills that will be fundamental to be competitive in the labour market. 2) Increase the mobility of people in view of the further development of their knowledge, skills and competencies as well as occupational possibilities. 3) Offer participants the opportunity of acquiring new skills in their sector of interest. At the same time, participants will have the chance to improve their language skills, thus strengthening their understanding of European citizenship. 4) Promote the benefits of living in the EU to our participants, broadening peoples’ horizons, within a safe environment and encouraging them to look at their future careers and studies with confidence. After getting in contact with the partners , we discovered that some of them did not match the requirements as they did not have vocational training students so we started looking for new partners to be able to follow with the projest as a consortium. Finally we mamaged to find a new one , ESF Melchor Botella , at the end of September. Once the consortium was definetily established , we prepared a schedule and a timetable to be followed by the partners and after some meeting , we decided to establish thfre different flows in order to facilitate the mobility of the students selected in the program. Every partner chose three diffrent people for the program and the rest were provided by CIP FP Cheste. In the end, 51 mobilities with 21 companies involved in the project and with a high level of satisfaction were completed.
