European Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths
Start date: Jun 16, 2014, End date: Jun 15, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The basic motivation to do this project is the possibility for students who are engaged in vocational training to gain experience in dealing with foreign partners. This refers to the world of work as well as to daily life. The students are supposed to get confident to solve problems in the job and in everyday life and to cope with the challenges of working abroad. 13 students of the engineering department of the Werner-Siemens-Schule will take part in the project. Together with the students of Gower College Swansea they will attend lessons. Together they are going to do some projects in the field of electronics. On top of that they will learn during some excursions and visits to several companies where the differences and similarities are in the world of work in GB and in Germany. It is also possible to get in touch with local enterprises, which could lead to job offers for some students. As the students are not only integrated in the college but also in the families they stay with their language abilities will certainly improve. This will also contribute to a more confident communication with the British partners. In today´s globalised world, the chance to take part in such a project can´t be valued enough.
